On September 17 and 18, 2026, Lee County Sheriff's Office Investigators and the Covenant Rescue Group, with the assistance of the Auburn and Opelika police departments, engaged in a sting operation at a local hotel in Opelika targeting child predators. During the two-day operation, undercover officers were able to chat online with multiple male adults who were all attempting to travel to the hotel to meet and have sex with a minor female.
The following individuals were arrested:
Cecil Leroy Carlton Sr. (49) from Opelika:
Damarea Amir Yancey (23) from Opelika:
Kenneth Michael Hodges (37) from Tuskegee:
Yasuf Abdul Hannan Mansaray (26) from Auburn:
Cesar Lopez Ramirez (19) from Auburn:
Pablo Uscanga (26) from Auburn:
James Miles Mcray (39) from Roanoke:
Damien Prosser (60) from Gainesville, GA:
Petr V Cholak (48) from Inman, SC:
Tylik Marcel James (27) from Union Springs
They were each charged with (1) count of Child Solicitation by Computer, (1) Count of Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act and (1) count of Prostitution with a Minor. All were booked into the Lee County Detention Facility and bond set at $130,000.00 for each defendant.
Treveontae Jamal Hutchinson (20) from Auburn was also arrested and charged with (2) counts of Child Solicitation by Computer, (2) counts of Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act and (2) Counts of Prostitution with a Minor. He was booked into the Lee County Detention Center, and bond was set at $260,000.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones stated, "The Covenant Rescue Group's stated mission is to fight human trafficking and child exploitation along with assisting law enforcement with training and partnership operations to identify those who victimize children. We stand with them in this effort and will continue to engage in actions to identify and apprehend those who would place our children at risk."
