LEE COUNTY (May 1, 2025) - On February 17th, 2025, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of multiple vehicles parked at Smiths Station Baptist Church, located in the 2000 block of Lee Rd. 430, having been burglarized with multiple items stolen. An investigation was initiated with no development until April 8, 2025, when a report was filed of multiple vehicles having been burglarized in the West Smiths Station Elementary School parking lot on Lee Road 295 in the city of Smiths Station, where multiple items were also stolen.
Items stolen from vehicles included makeup, clothing, pillows, gift cards and a Louis Vuitton woman’s purse. Investigators obtained video evidence identifying Madison Daye Phillips (30) from Smiths Station as a suspect. During an interview, Phillips admitted to committing all the listed crimes.
On April 30, 2025, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Phillips on four counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, four counts of Theft of Property 4th Degree and one count of Theft of Property 3rd Degree. She has since been released from the Lee County Jail after posting a $17,500.00 bond.
